Casting Call: Filming “Cowboy Standoff” for World of Woo!
Arise Media Studio is producing a new comedy sketch called “Cowboy Standoff,” a playful, gender-bending parody of the classic western showdown. The scene features an ensemble of cowboys, cowgirls, cowpokes, drag royalty, and a few surprised prairie creatures — all coming together for a musical moment inspired by the old Streets of Laredo melody.
We’re gathering a small group of actors to meet in the nearby Austin Greenbelt for a simple, joyful shoot. No acting experience is needed — just a willingness to dress up, have fun, and embrace the spirit of World of Woo, our upcoming variety comedy series.
What we’re looking for:
6–10 participants of any gender or skill level
Filming location:
Austin Greenbelt (exact trailhead shared upon confirmation)
Wardrobe:
Cowboy hats, boots, dresses, denim, glitter, mustaches — anything that expresses your frontier personality

Cowboy Song - Comedy Parody for World of Woo
“Cowboy Song” is a playful Wild West parody inspired by the classic Streets of Laredo melody — reimagined through the lens of modern identity and good old-fashioned frontier silliness. This comedic folk tune is featured in our variety comedy show World of Woo, and appears in the sketch Cowboy Standoff, where a group of confused cowboys, cowgirls, cowpokes, and glitterfolk try to figure out who’s who… and end up singing together anyway.
