A Visual Adventure to the Heavenly Heights

Arise video production manager, Cabe Lindsay, created this music video as a solo artistic expression. He made it when COVID-19 was new, with a lot of time and energy on his hands due to the fact that the pandemic dramatically slowed our work as video producers. This is a good demonstration of our studio’s abilities as animators, for anyone interested in working with us.

For this art film, the work began with sketches. Cabe created a series of hand-drawn illustrations in order to give it a handcrafted look and feel, and then he digitized the artwork as vectors. Digitizing the images allowed him to apply vivid colors and special effects, such as the glow we see in the radiant guitarist and the angelic characters. His color pallet is given below (alongside the butterflies and birds), which might be useful to you.

Our story’s protagonist is a guitarist who immerses himself in his music, launching himself into the highest reaches of his musical gifts. The guitarist is met with the support of the divine, as angelic supporters arrive. The song’s title is interpreted as a spectrum of rainbow warriors. Long before the angels arrive, there are colors flying in the natural surroundings!
