Wild Ways to Raise Kids
Wild Family (2015) follows first-time filmmakers Cabe and Kat Lindsay—eight months pregnant with their third child, as they set out on a cross-country journey to discover how families navigate the adventure of parenting. With cameras rolling, they interview 40 “wild families” across the U.S., uncovering creative approaches to raising children while balancing the beauty and challenges of family life. Through outdoor adventures and candid conversations, the film explores resilience, connection, and the universal quest to nurture the next generation.
Presented here in its original 97-minute director’s cut, Wild Family is a heartfelt labor of love that invites viewers to reflect on their own parenting journeys. Please leave an encouraging note for the filmmakers—and consider sharing this film with a family you know.
A Story of Resilience, Community, and Hope
Our latest documentary film invites you to experience the heart and history of Pontiac, Michigan. This powerful story of resilience follows the city’s journey from its rise as an automotive hub to the challenges of economic decline and the creativity still blooming in its neighborhoods. Featuring real voices, historic archives, and striking on-location cinematography, the film is both a love letter and a call to action—honoring a community that refuses to be defined by hardship alone.
While the full film is currently submitted to several film festivals and available only for private screenings, you can watch the official trailer here for a first glimpse into the spirit of Pontiac–Roses Through the Thorns (2015).
Wisdom for the Future, Spoken from Tradition
Voices of the Grandmothers (2021) is a documentary film that carries the timeless wisdom of indigenous elders into the present moment. Imagine growing up with the dream seeds of a wise grandmother—stories, myths, and songs that guide you to find your way in the world, share your gifts, and reconnect with your true nature. This film asks: “The Grandmothers are speaking—are we listening?” The film is both a prayer and a call to action: to remember, to listen, and to walk with wisdom.
Featuring Grandmother Flordemayo, Grandmother Pershile (Perci), Grandmother SaSa, Grandmother Moetu-Taiha, and Reverend Grandmother Eila Paul—alongside Master Mingtong Gu, Angelique Boas, Madi Sato, Joanne Shenandoah, Leah Shenandoah, and others—the film honors voices of strength, spirit, and renewal. This project is a heartfelt collaboration dedicated to carrying forward the teachings of resilience, reverence, and unity for generations to come.
Water is Life. Unity is Power.
Thousands of water protectors gathered as one family on the campgrounds surrounding the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. Standing in Solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux (2016) is a short documentary capturing the spirit of this historic grassroots movement, which called people from across the world to stand together in defense of water and in respect for indigenous sovereignty.
Centered on the Lakota phrase Mni Wiconi—“Water Is Life”—the film documents a peaceful and prayerful form of activism rooted in reverence for the sacredness of water. Through diverse voices and united action, the Standing Rock Movement became a powerful symbol of healing, bringing together tribes and allies of every color—red, yellow, black, and white. This film honors that solidarity and affirms the call to protect what is most essential: the life-giving waters.
Fine Art
“Walk In Beauty” is the artwork showcased here. Two blue deer walk side by side down a red dirt road through a desert canyon, symbolizing a sacred way of life. The man, dressed in rugged cowboy attire, and the woman, in a flowing red gown, blend elegance and strength as ravens soar above—guides of transformation and spirit. With stars above a white setting sun, this scene honors the sacred “red road” of purpose, respect, and reverence for the natural world.

Wild Wyoming Legends Live in the Wyld Fiction Novel Series
Similar to other artworks by Arise, our printed books, ebooks, and audiobooks inspire connection and expression. Our outstanding print publications span genres but share a common purpose: to inspire discovery through artful storytelling. Our nonfiction title Big Idea Patterns offers fresh frameworks for creative thinking and innovation. The four-part art book series Always Never Sometimes (Roots, Breakthroughs, Blooms, and Fruits) explores the roles we play in life through evocative imagery and poetry.
For children, we created uplifting tales like Be Well Bee, Brave Spirit, I Walk In Beauty, and Wild Wyoming—books designed to nurture imagination, courage, and a sense of wonder. Our Wyld youth fiction novel series invites young readers on an adventurous journey through nature, self-discovery, and belonging. Together, these works reflect our belief that art in all its forms—literature, music, film, and beyond—can move hearts, spark imagination, and contribute to a more beautiful world.

Trending Techniques and Creative Leaps in AI Animation
The 2025 music video for “Path of Love” by Cosmic Butterflies features a polar bear cub in an epic search for his mama bear, at a fragile time of global warming. This represents the current trailblazing AI animation capabilities of Adobe Firefly in a short film created for the AI Animation Competition by Promise + Curious Refuge. Another example of Firefly's AI generative art is “Close To You,” from the album Lover Songs (2024).
These three pioneering AI animated videos come from the early era before AI generative art met the masses. Deforum Stable Diffusion and Google Colab were the specific technologies we used generate these stunning animations. Before generative AI art hit the mainstream, these underground tools allowed boundary-pushing artists and innovators to create stunning, dreamlike visuals—especially for music videos. This era was a kind of digital renaissance, where open-source innovation met poetic imagination.

Veggie Bros–An Animated Adventure About Two Talkative Eggplants
Meet Larry and Leon—two talkative eggplants who discover they can think, feel, and even scoot across the cutting board. What begins as small talk quickly turns into big questions about life, fear, friendship, and bliss—all under the shadow of a kitchen knife. Veggie Bros is a surreal cartoon about resilience, humor, and finding joy in the most unlikely places. Playful, philosophical, and just a little absurd, it’s as if Pixar met Monty Python in a vegetable drawer.
The Veggie Bros story first sprouted in 2004, when Arise filmmaker Cabe Lindsay began drawing eggplant cartoons for an organic farm marketing campaign. Decades later, these quirky characters evolved into a full-fledged animation project—brought to life during the creative quiet of 2020. At its heart, Veggie Bros is a story about willpower and perspective. What happens when two veggies wake up to their own consciousness? They start questioning everything—and discover the power of gratitude, humor, and choice along the way.
Beyond its laughs and lovable characters, Veggie Bros celebrates creativity as a form of resilience. The series is designed to delight children while offering tongue-in-cheek wisdom for adults—encouraging everyone to look on the bright side of life and dance with whatever’s on the cutting board.
