Preserving the Live Music Concert Experience
It appears that COVID-19 is flatlining Austin’s claim to fame as the “Live Music Capital of the World,” but that doesn’t have to be the case. Musicians and music fans are finding other ways to celebrate music now, through music videos, live broadcasts, virtual tours, and online open mic events.
That’s what makes video production such an understandably favorable investment: videos broaden our potential audience. Because our studio has passion and expertise in providing video support to artists, we are a natural authority on the subject of live music broadcasts, virtual concerts, animated music videos, and other forms of video production that continue to rock the world in 2020.
Some artists are reaching an international audience for the first time by broadcasting their performances through live videos. For example, Austin’s “freshest band” Cosmic Butterflies launched a live broadcast recorded from home after their SXSW debut fell through on May 16, 2020. They reached the local audience and the global audience simultaneously.
Animated Music Videos
Another of this year’s Austin music success stories is this animated lyric video. “Crystalline Charm” is a song by emerging artist Melissa Gail Klein, in support of her first full-length album. We created this video from start to finish, complete with elegant typography, motion graphics, illustration, and animation.

Some songs are best visualized through animation, where all things are possible. Our interpretation of the above song is a surreal look into the emotional ocean. Especially in this time of social distancing, musicians and bands can rest easy knowing that animation is always an option for actualizing artistic visions.
